Medieval Summer Camp 2003

2nd August to 9th August.

This years Group camp took place at Bowley Scout Camp in Lancashire with a special feel about. The programme was based around a medieval theme.

The medieval activities included castle building, archery, storming of a fort, jousting, a medieval feast and much more!

We've arrived! Stretching legs after the long journey. Our home for the week. Oh dear!!!
The Camp. Tent 1 Inspection. Tent 2 Inspection. Tent 3 Inspection.
Survival Skills teaching session. Survival Skills bivy building The basics. The deluxe model!
A home from home. Yes, we actually slept in them all night gaining everyone their Survival Skills Badge.
Lunchy Munchy! Building the Trebuchet. More counter-weight needed. Ready the sling Mr. Jones.
"STAND CLEAR!" It works!!!!!! The famous Fort Bowley Scouts & Cubs prepare to defend.
Leaders advance forward armed to the teeth!!! Leaders attack Cubs & Scouts fight back "retreat!"
"Why couldn't we use these to defend the fort!?!" "I can see the top" "Grrrrr"
