The 4th
Birkenhead Scout Group recently invested it‘s very first young female
member, Hannah, in to the Scout Troop. The Group has had open policy on
girls joining the Group for a number of years but Hannah is the first girl
to approach the Group for membership. She joined the Troop in November in
time to help the Group win the District Swimming Gala and went with the
District team to compete in the County Swimming Gala where she helped the
District achieve 2nd place. Hannah is the younger sister of Scott, a
member of the Troop who also featured in the news quite recently. She has
been welcomed into the Troop by all the members and adds a interesting
dynamic to troop nights. She is enthusiastic and well focused when she sets
a target for herself.
The Group
is now looking for a female helper for the Troop to enable Hannah to take
part in sleepovers and camps. It is hoped that more girls will want to join
the Group now that the word is out. If you are interesting in joining or
